The town of Altea is located in the Marina Baixa region of Alicante and forms part of the Costa Blanca (Valencian Community, Spain).
The municipality of Altea has an area of approximately 32 square kilometres with a great variety of relief. From the beach to 1129 m. high in the Sierra de Bernia, the orchard and the ravines, the coves and the cliffs, the hills and the wide irrigated orchards... and in the middle of this canvas a mosaic of roads, bridges, houses, hermitages and two villages; Altea and Altea la Vella, which in their growth are generating new items.
Not forgetting its well-known pebble beaches.
From the top of a hill, protected from the cold winds by the inland mountains, the town offers all the charm of villages rooted in tradition.
And on the summit, the Parish Church, with its stylised bell tower and round dome covered with blue and white glazed ceramic tiles, which have made it one of the most unique landmarks of the Costa Blanca.
